Silverlit PicooZ micro helicopter helikopter hubschrauber picco z

First we want to say what we learned last: The little rascal has a lipo saver circuit. So when accu power goes to low, it just stops. The little mini heli then really goes down fast, a.k.a. free-falling
Happily it is sturdy like the x-planes, and does not weight to much so till now it withstood about 5 crashes from up high (2 meter approx.)

It charges on the remote with 6 AA batteries, we use 6 accus, GP 2500 mah
Charging about 12 minutes on those, and according to manual it will fly
5 to 6 minutes on that.... that's less then the silverlit planes :-(
But ok, it also has a trim function for straight flying, and does not use an antenna but INFRARED like the tv remote ! That works 100% indoor. (Well it is a December day, cloudy and 'dark' if it still works in the summer....? we will look again :-)
In the package you will find, beside a
spare heck rotor, 3 aluminum adhesive weight
pads to weighten the mini helikopter in front, so it will fly forwards. We
put 3 on it, does almost not travel forwards...
The manual probably would stated: put 1 far front, nothing, put a second one
ON it, so the 3 go on top of each other.
Another way to make the chopper going forwards is the bending of the tail section (That IS in the manual) but we rather do not....(yet)
The manual is the first thing we tested and reviewed.
Charging does not go the way manual tells. Or better, it just does not
tell, that you have to put the remote ON. So: helicopter off, rc
connect connector cable in to the picco z (Official name in manual: PicooZ)
and then remote ON.
Both red AND green led will light up, and when green goes out, the chopper is
on full charge, ready to go.
Modifications: Like a Formula 1 we have put on a front spoiler. The weights we took off.
Now it really flies forward en we can fly figures :-) click photo's for
bigger picture.
Needed: a piece of carton, 2 little pieces of tape.
on photo the front side is not taped down, but it is in fact, so try what
you like. We use front and back taped to 'cockpit' now.
Off course you can play with the area width and shape. More to back or front,
point shape, all to your likings.
